How many rooms in palazzo hotel

How did it strike you on arrival? The Palazzo is the extravagant younger sibling of The Venetian both a part of The Venetian Resort and was planned all around the same kind of Renaissance Italian notion.

Each of the hotels has its own rotunda entrance; on the Palazzo side, rather than being all gold, there's an amazing crystal sculpture of women that's actually a two-level fountain.

It's both modern and reminiscent of classical sculpture. There are so many guests in The Venetian and Palazzo, whose combined rooms number around 7,—and many visitors may just be there to see a show, dine in one of the 40 restaurants or gamble—that it's impossible to tell what the demographic is just by looking around.

What is apparent, though, is that it's a hugely diverse crowd. It does have one of the more upscale crowds. The good stuff: Tell us about your room. I stayed in one of the Luxury Suites, which are the standard rooms.

They're remarkable because they're huge for standard rooms. They're about square feet bigger and feel wider than their Venetian counterparts.

They've all gotten upgrades in the last year, too. They're much brighter and feel more modern than the Venetian side. They got us? The beds, like Venetian's beds, are sky-high pillow tops and are some of the best beds on the Strip. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase? The mini-bar, like most in Las Vegas, is expensive and electronically monitored. I loved, though, that it had its own special packaging for offerings like little canisters of gummy bears and Godiva chocolates.

The bathrooms in Palazzo's luxury suites the standard suites are some of my favorite among standard rooms in Las Vegas. They're big, with inch TVs in case you like to watch TV while you're getting ready , and like Venetian, have a great little makeup table with an additional lighted makeup mirror that you can turn to different settings for daytime and evening light.

Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. Room service: Worth it? If you don't mind the extra cost, this is one of the in-room dining menus in Las Vegas that's really good. That means no entertainment discounts or free rooms, food, and beverages. Wolfgang Puck. Emeril Lagasse. Thomas Keller. These are just a few of the chefs who helm a restaurant or two at the Palazzo, and the property has a couple dozen restaurants in all. Of course, guests of the Palazzo can eat at any of the eateries at the Venetian.

Meals at all restaurants at both properties -- except for the food court -- can be charged to a room. Several casual options and an extensive hour rooms service menu provide more dining options. Like most other hotels on the strip, the Palazzo offers high-quality entertainment and plenty of things to do on-site. The hotel is home to several shows of performing artists and TAO Nightclub, where well-known DJs and celebrities often make appearances.

But for the family that plans to explore the Strip as a whole, the Palazzo would be an excellent choice -- if only for the huge, suite-style standard rooms, which are the largest on the Strip and feature couches that pull out into beds. Rollaway beds are also available for an additional nightly fee though the hotel allows them only in rooms larger than the standard Luxury Suites.

Cribs are also available at no extra cost. Kids will certainly enjoy hopping among the many pools. The fact that the adult-only party pool, TAO, is located next door at the Venetian arguably makes the Palazzo the more family-friendly of the sister properties. This is one of the largest LEED-certified green buildings in the nation; 95 percent of the building's structural steel is recycled material in addition to 26 percent of the concrete.

According to the Palazzo, the entire hotel was built with sustainability in mind: the artificial turf reduces the need for irrigation; the swimming pools use a solar heating system; and air-conditioning systems in guest rooms have sensors to automatically adjust when no one is in the room.
